2013

I can’t believe the first month of the new year is almost over. I still need to do my taxes. Ugh.
First things first.
The no drinking for the month of January. Well, I didn’t make it. Shocker. BUT I made it 14 days (yes I realize that isn’t even half of my goal but I kinda don’t care) My daughter who was born extremely premature (1.5 lbs to be exact) turned 5 on the 14th and I wanted to celebrate with fermented bubbles not sparking cider. Totally worth it! Then my son, also a preemie but only 4 weeks early turned 9 and so…well I had a whiskey at the glamorous bowling alley. Honestly that one wasn’t worth it. Lesson learned. Following that we have had two 40th birthday parties and I wanted to celebrate with wine. Also it is quite hard unusual to be in the food and wine business and not drink at all. I’m happy to report that this month has been great in terms of “moderation” (I hate that boooring word). I’m curious to see what February brings.
I still have the bla’s as no spring marathons are planned but I’m hoping some other fun new opportunities will occur. Running has felt awesome and peaceful lately albeit cold.
I’ve been contemplating just bagging this blogging thing but I really like to keep track of history (my version in particular). I don’t know, maybe I’ll start taking pictures of salads, chia seeds smothered in peanut butter, and fro yo. A great way to keep readers enthralled.
Ever hit a blogging lull?

Well, I guess it could always be worse!

  1. Hmmm…trying to feel for your “cold” weather but I can’t get there. ; )

Roll with what you feel in regards to running. There’s never a point in pushing when your heart isn’t into it.

February–you need red wine on Valentine’s Day, right?

  2. Haha, that disturbing rat thing always makes me laugh. Glad to hear you’re enjoying cold runs! Lately I’ve been sticking to the treadmill and dreaming of spring.

I hope you won’t bag blogging! Lulls come and go, and maybe you’ll get your voice back in spring. A blog featuring food porn sounds nice.

    Stay happy and healthy!

  3. Blogger’s lulls are the worse. I usually just step away from the machine for a while and see what happens šŸ™‚ Or drink a glass of wine or two, because I’ve been repeatedly told I’m a much better blogger that way, but I suppose that doesn’t work with the first part of your post eh??;)
